This Privacy Policy explains how Black Frame processes personal data when you visit blackframe.com or contact us via the website. It is provided in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we process
2.1 Server logs
When you access this website, our hosting provider (Netlify, Inc., USA — connected via the EU data region) automatically processes access data such as IP address, browser type, referrer URL, timestamp, and requested resource. This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) in delivering the website securely and reliably.
2.2 Contact form
When you submit our contact form, we process the data you provide (name, company, email, message) in order to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your inquiry). The form is handled via Netlify Forms; the submitted data is stored on Netlify's infrastructure and forwarded to us by email.
2.3 Analytics — Plausible
We use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) to understand how our website is used. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. All measurements are aggregated and anonymous; visitor IPs are not stored. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in measuring website usage).
2.4 Embedded media
This website embeds videos that are hosted by us. We do not embed third-party services such as YouTube or Vimeo. If we add such embeds in the future, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.
3. Storage period
Contact form data is retained for as long as needed to handle your inquiry plus applicable statutory retention periods. Server logs are retained for up to 14 days.
4. Recipients
We share personal data only with service providers (processors) that act on our behalf, in particular:
- Netlify, Inc. — website hosting and form submission processing
- Plausible Insights OÜ — anonymous analytics
- Our email provider — to receive contact-form notifications
Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR.
5. Your rights

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Germany, that is the data protection authority of the federal state where our company is registered.
